Local spots I actually go to (and why you’ll probably love them too).
If you’re in a wine era or you’re just in your “I want to sit somewhere pretty and sip something lovely” era, Edmonds quietly delivers. From cozy neighborhood favorites to modern spots with good pours and even better lighting, here’s where I send people when they ask “Where should we meet for wine?”
This isn’t a list ranked by scorecards or wine knowledge. It’s a guide for those of us who care about the pour and the feeling.
Vinbero
Cozy, casual, and perfect for a mid-day glass
Vinbero is the kind of place you stop into for a baguette sandwich and end up staying for a glass of something cold and local. It’s more lunch café than wine bar these days, but the wine shop and relaxed vibe still make it a favorite for a post-market sip or an easy weekday break.
Why I love it: unpretentious, friendly, and just quiet enough to think
Pair it with: a long walk along Sunset Ave and a quick peek into Crow or MaJe
Dusted Valley
Bright, easygoing, and Walla Walla rooted
This family-run tasting room pours estate wines from their Walla Walla vineyards, and the experience is friendly and unintimidating. Great for guided tastings or just a glass in a well-lit room that feels as put-together as your best friend’s dining table.
Why I love it: serious wines, but not a serious vibe
Go for: the Syrah or “Squirrel Tooth Alice” (yes, really)
The Fox + Bottle
Wine while you shop — need I say more?
Part boutique, part wine bar, part daytime hangout — this is the spot when you want to sip something lovely while picking up a last-minute gift. The team is all about making wine feel approachable and fun, with plenty of easy-drinking options and thoughtful recommendations.
Why I love it: feels like Anthropologie’s cooler, wine-loving sister
Also great for: browsing, gift hunting, sipping solo
Virtue Cellars
Small-lot pours and people watching on point
This sleek little spot in the heart of downtown focuses on single-vineyard Columbia Valley wines. The inside is clean and calm, but if you snag a window seat or sit just outside, you’re in prime Edmonds people-watching territory.
Why I love it: bold reds, gentle energy, and a place to sit with a notebook
Pro tip: ask about their Petit Verdot — it’s a sleeper hit
Vertical Wine Collective
Reimagining wine, one box at a time
A fresh face in the Edmonds wine scene, Vertical is all about smart wine — boxed and sustainable formats, NA options, and private events in a cozy space that welcomes everyone (kids included). It’s chic, progressive, and a little rebellious in the best way.
Why I love it: finally, a wine spot that feels both family-friendly and forward-thinking
Bonus: bring your empty glass to recycle for a little cash-back moment
Arista Wine Cellars
A neighborhood classic with serious wine cred
This family-owned wine shop has been around since 1997, and for good reason. The selection spans value finds to collectible gems, including cult Northwest bottles and grower Champagne. Complimentary Saturday tastings don’t hurt either.
Why I love it: old-school charm, expert recommendations, and no gatekeeping
When to go: Saturday tastings from 1–5pm
Jeff UNCORKED
Your Edmonds wine guy, literally
Not a tasting room, but if you’re into small-batch discoveries and local wine culture, you’ll want to know Jeff. He shows up at the Edmonds Farmers Market, hosts pop-ups, and connects people to exceptional wine through events and direct sales.
Why I love it: Jeff’s the kind of person who makes wine feel fun, local, and personal
Where to find him: @jeffuncorked, at the market or other private events
